What I've been up to in April
So i've already written half of this post without it saving, so here goes attempt number 2!!
Hello everyone! Where the heck did April go? I failed hard on the blogging thing this month (and I was doing SO WELL in March). I just don't even know how its the last week of April! Oh My Gaaahh. Was everyone else on a emotional roller coaster this month with the insane weather changes? 22" of snow on April 14! Holy. COW.
I had other things planned for this month, but sometimes life gets in the way. Here are the highlights of what I've been up to this month. (of course, you can see more posts on my insta!)
In the begging of April I was invited to a blogger brunch that was hosted by Carver Junk Company. They are an awesome store here in Minnesota that has refinished home decor as well as other home decorations.
I loved that they partnered with a builder and staged an entire home with their products! I loved every nook of the house and wish I could of brought everything to MY home.
Also, the team is absolutely fabulous and so inviting!
Thanks so much to Carver Junk Company for hosting me and inviting me to your home! :)
There was one weekend in April were we had the most awesome brunches! We went to Martina for the first time and OMG, hands down one of the top places for brunch in Minneapolis! Also, the service we get there is always amazing. We've gone twice and my husband has asked for a drink off the menu and they don't even ask questions they just make it. Turns out super well too! Gotta love a restaurant that goes above and beyond!
Right across the street from Martina is Sebastian Joes, so naturally I dragged my husband there. I got a scoop of Pavarotti on a waffle cone. Its literally what I get every single time, because its so good. Pavarotti is a banana, caramel and chocolate chip ice cream made there. SO YUMMY!
The next day after Martina and Sebastian Joes, Mike and I were invited to a blogger brunch at Pat's tap hosted by @madisoninminneapolis
This was a brilliant brunch idea because it got together a small group of instagrammers instead of a TON. Its always nice to sit down with a few people and get to them. Also, way easier meet new people as well. I was so happy to be able to do this and got to meet some new friends as well.
Thanks to Madison and Pat's tap for being awesome hosts!

This was a really fun night for me. I was invited by my insta friend @creekwoodhill aka Lea to @thefauxmartha's new cookbook release party! It was hosted at The Lynhall (which is always super pretty) and they serves drinks and appetizers as well as had a panel of different authors. I loved going with my friend Lea and overall bumping into a bunch of other insta friends in the community that I adore!
Congrats to Melissa (@thefauxmartha) on The Minimalist Kitchen and all your success! The party was a blast!
You can get her book here.
Mid April I got lumch with my friend Rebekah (@by.rebekah) at the Salty Tart in St.Paul. I've already raved about Salty Tart and this time they even exceed my expectations! The food was so good and I loved my drink! So fancy and so fun!
Also, Rebekah is an amazing individual! She is pure joy and I love spending time with that girl! Love how something like instagram can bring people together like that!
OMG! I couldn't forget stopping into The Golden Rule!
The Golden Rule is a quaint little shop in Excelsior, Minnesota. Everything inside it is beautiful and this particular visit I got to meet Erin the owner of the store. Whoa, that is a COOL lady!
But like seriously, I want everything in that store. :)
One of my favorite places ever in Minneapolis has got to be The American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis! Ugh, I just can't really put into words the amount of beauty in that place. Its GINORMOUS and every little spot is filled with a bunch of history. Perfect place to go and learn and explore especially on a rainy/snowy day!
We hang out with our friends mostly every weekend (unless we're working). So one night the crew went and tried New Bohemia in NE.
Instant love for that place. Especially since we got the pretzel that was the size of my face (or bigger!). The cheese dip that came along with it was amazing!!
Afterwards we ended up trying Tattersall Distillery for the first time (it was dark so I didn't really take pictures), but that place is awesome. The atmosphere is really cool and I loved the blueberry lemonade drink I got. DELISH.
There was one day a few days ago where I text my sister and said I needed some content and we ended up having one of the most random days ever. We started the day at Parallel, then went to Cafe Astoria, headed to Como Zoo Conservatory and then made a succulent pot at Tangle Town Gardens. Super random, but I can appreciate spontaneity. Sometimes you just need days like that! Right?
So there ya have it! The highlights of my month of April! Hope you enjoyed! Maybe May ill be better at blogging. :)
